In Module I trainees will learn the foundations for the practice of Intimacy Coordination. Lessons include:

+ Overview of the field of Intimacy Coordination
+ History of Intimacy in Film & Media
+ Power & Power Dyanmics
+ Consent Frameworks
+ SAG-AFTRA Protocols
+ Sexual Harassment in the Workplace
+ Bystander Intervention
+ Scene Study & Film Analysis
+ Interviews With Working Intimacy Coordinators
To be eligible for certification, students are required to participate in two AMA's per module.
There will be a final assessment at the end of the module.

When I saw that the first lesson in the whole course was about power dynamics, I knew CINTIMA was the perfect IC training program for me. I couldn't be happier with it. The combination of self-paced lessons with open biweekly live group check-ins fit my busy schedule very well. I also think the modules are really well-designed to build one's understanding of the field little by little, and to very explicitly give guidance on "soft skills" that, although essential, one might take for granted, like communication skills. I especially appreciated the attention paid to admin — it's such a crucial part of the job, and often overlooked in these types of certification programs. The final, in-person choreography module brought all the lessons together and made us put it all into practice. But perhaps the best part is that after you complete your training, you're mentored as you go into your first jobs. I've felt really supported entering the field, and know that whenever I encounter an unexpected or tricky situation, I have responsive and caring mentors I can call on. I highly recommend CINTIMA to anyone wanting to become an Intimacy Coordinator!
